Happy Second Birthday E3!

E's on the blog two days in a row!
Today it's because it's an extra-special day: his second birthday.

Ethan it's been such a joy to watch you grow!  We can't wait to see you IN REAL LIFE (!!) in a few months.  M3 is so blessed to have an older cousin like you to show her the ropes.  I have a feeling you two are going to be great friends (and partners in cookie jar crime) very soon!

P.S. Enjoy the guitar. Uncle Ry picked it out just for you!

First Pair of Pants

I learned how to sew last year and actually made a pair of pants or two.  Jodi (Ry's sis) sent me this pic of my nephew Ethan recently.  Isn't he the cutest little fellow?  He's wearing the first pair of pants I ever made: flannel jams. I made Molly a pair too, the week before she was born, but she outgrew them immediately and I never got her pic in them (sad).

Anyway, this pic got me inspired so I pulled out the sewing machine last night and made a couple of things. I was actually planning on working on my most recent quilting project but I couldn't FIND it.  Not hide nor hair. Uh oh.  So if you happen to be at my house and see something that looks like a quilting project (maybe tucked in a cupboard or drawer? Maybe under the bathroom sink?) let me know.  I'm on the hunt for it.

Baby Clothes are Tricky

Today Molly's pants are size 0-3 months.  Her shirt is 18 months.
So, you see, there is no hard and fast answer on baby clothes sizing.
Her pants are the first thing she's worn that has been under 3-6 or 6-12 months in the past week or two.  I was actually going to stick them in the consignment pile when we decided to try 'em on real quick, just in case.  Now she's happy as a clam.  Luckily Mr. Giraffe is one-size-fits-all.

Oh What a Night!

Guess how many hours the bean slept for without waking last night?

1 hour

2 hours

3 hours

Four

5 hours (an actual picture from last night-- loving her quilt from Lindsey, I think her jams are from Nana Martin (and the snugly blankie she is wrapped up in too!)

6 hours (Jake says no biggie, he sleeps 12-14 hours on a regular basis).

Some wiggling at seven hours and then...

Good morning!

Molly slept for 8 (count 'em) 8 hours in her co-sleeper last night.
I woke up this morning and there she was snoozing away instead of snuggling away with us like she usually does after her 6 a.m. wake-up.
Don't know if this is will be a new thing, or just a fluke.  We're headed off on vacation today after Ryan gets home from work, so chances are her sleep schedule will get all wonky anyway, oh well!

And, my guess is Molly slept like such a champ because her cousin came and played with her yesterday.
Dani is good at wearing her cousin out :)

Would you believe we have five of these bouncers in the fam?
One at our house, one at S&J's, 2 at Foxsparrow and one at Madronita.
The biggest garage sale ever is coming up as soon as these babes are grown!

Scat Cat!

But let me snap a picture first...

I guess Kitty likes snuggly vibrating bouncers that rock you to sleep just as much as Molly does.
I had to snap a picture before I shooed her out.
