Cousins!

Just a quick snapshot from Ry's birthday dinner at S&J's on Monday.

Sara wanted to get this pic, because Molly is growing like a weed, and we realized it wouldn't be long before the girl's sizes began to even out.

Right now they are still about 2 pounds apart I think.

Weekend

It was sunny this weekend so we set up the carseat adapter on Molly's Bob and hit the park.
Molly repaid us in tears.

We tried again today, Molly, Ry, Jake and I went for a stroll around the block.  More tears (Is it being strapped into her car seat? Is it the outdoors in general? not sure...)

Later, after lunch and a nap, Ry tried again.  Finally a cheerful Molly.

Yesterday I headed up to Woodinville to meet with a bride and groom who are getting married at DeLille Cellars in Woodinville next month (beautiful, beautiful place! I can't wait for their wedding!)

Ry stayed home with Molly-bean.  I sent a text to a friend telling her Ryan was "babysitting" she replied that it's not called babysitting when it is your own baby...it is called "parenting."  So, Ryan did a wonderful job "parenting" Saturday morning when I was out.  Molly couldn't have been happier (he sent me pictures as proof).

Snoozelfest (she is loving her onesies from Aunt Tracy!)

And video of her dreaming away too (hope this upload works-- I've never uploaded video before)

And one last pic- in her hat from Memaw Murphy

Happy Birthday Ryan!

Molly Got an Identity, and a New Hat!

Molly received her first piece of mail yesterday-- from Social Security! It contained her SS Card, so she's official!

Also! I just realized I never posted a picture of the ADORABLE hat that came in the package from the Evensons (along with Ethan's hug!).  Check it out, how adorable is this little green hat, handmade by Jodi!
It's perfect for our spring weather (nice and sunny, with a little chill still in the air).  Molly also wore her first pair of overalls this afternoon.  I'm an overall fan, so she'll likely be wearing overalls from now until she asserts some kind of will over how she is dressed.

A Hug from Cousin Ethan

We got the best package in the mail today (more pics of the package to come!) but one of the best parts was a hug from cousin Ethan! All the way from Tucson.  Molly was very pleased. Or she will be when she wakes up!

How cute of an idea is this?

I snapped these with Ryan's phone, and while doing so, noticed he had a few other cute pics stored there, so here they are!

I think they had a photo shoot this morning while I was catching a few extra zzz's!

Her car seat, she really is fond of car rides, just not the buckling in part!  She's growing into her hat Memaw! (And out of those jammies-- though I'll have to save them, because her hot pink jimjams with snowmen are what she wore home from the hospital).

Molly's First Birthday Party!

And by first, I mean the first one she has ever attended.

We headed up the street on Monday for Lil Veda's second birthday party.

 Happy Birthday Veda!

All the neighborhood kiddos were there.  Molly mostly snoozed in her car seat while wonderful birthday madness reigned around us (complete with the fishing pole game-- one of my favorites as a kid).

When Molly did come out of her car seat, I realized that Ryan, who had very sweetly helped me get Molly ready before we headed out the door, had accidentally put her outfit (an adorable one from Veda's mama Chelsie) on backward, so we just stayed wrapped up in our favorite blanket from Auntie J.
A post about our backward party-going on Facebook helped determined that Ryan is certainly not the only daddy to ever make this snafu (and several posts from fellow mommies said I'd better watch out, a few more weeks of sleep deprivation and I might be putting my own shirts on backward!)

In other news, we were off to our 2 week doc appointment this afternoon where we found out Molly has gained back her birth weight and then some! (She is currently at 8 lb 5 oz from her birth weight of 8.1).  This was a big gain, as just last Tuesday she was at 7lb 11oz (lil ones usually drop a half pound or so in the first week after birth as they adjust to their new feeding methods).  However, it doesn't surprise me, as she's been nursing like a Tonka Truck lately.  I'll have to check my notes, but I believe her height wasn't much bigger, perhaps just a tad, so I am guessing it was because of her girth that we found one of her newbie outfits didn't fit this morning (sad, it was one of my favorites, a little strawberry pj set from Grandma Squeak and Aunt Sandra-- though she did get some good wear out of it first!).

In other doc related news-- Molly's umbilical cord fell off, which means she is officially "bathe-able."  We're thinking we might try her out in her little tub this evening.  Stay posted for pics (she has an absolutely Uh-Dore-Able duckie baby robe from Nana Martin that she is fond of lounging in after her sponge baths, so I have a feeling she will really put it to use this evening after her all-over sudsing.
